Computer Science Departments will not survive
When asked what would happen if Computer Science departments do not collaborate in the creation of a new Academic field, Web Science, Ben Shneiderman, from the University of Maryland, said: “they will not survive.” At least, his point of view is clear.

Web science? I’ll accept that CS is a mathematical science but, seeing that he’s an HCI person, somehow I don’t think he’s talking about fundamental learning theory for information networks.
Well, the guy’s listed in no less than three “who’s who” books, so what do I know? Well, I guess I know that I’m cheaper than him, being unwilling to pay to see my name listed thus.
