Which one do you prefer?

  1. Well, fine… But… I’d rather have Peter Turney, Daniel Lemire and, say Andrew Granville as the 3 readers of my Blog (for example) rather than millions of eyeballs for the drivel that passes for entertainment in the blogosphere.

In short – why perish if you have no readership. It may be better to have no readership (today) – and say something important / useful and of value, than to have a readership.

  2. Sure. But I submit to you that you can take it into account.

Take a prolog book. How many people buy it? Well, if you sell 3000 of them, I would find that impressive…

If you write a web service book and only sell 3000… it is probably a failure…
